Relaxation Tapes

How They Came To Be

When I was a little girl, about age 7, I loved to play school and pretend I was the teacher. I used to gather together my sisters, the kids down the block and even the dog and place everyone in play desks in my bedroom.
This pretend classroom held my attention for years and my pretned students grew in number each year.

One day while I was in high school our class went on a field trip to the Veteren's Hospital a few miles away. I recall spending half the day touring the various departments in the hospital and learning about the different professions.

When we visited the Occupational Therapy department I was captivated. My teacher had told us that an Occupational Therapist was a very special teacher. I also learned an Occupational Therapist had the unique role of evaluating and treating the whole person not just their illness. From that point forward I knew I wanted to help people...to teach people how to improve the quality of their lives.

I followed throught with my desires and gradutated with a degree in Occupational Therapy. I spent the next 8 years working as an Occupational Therapist. During the last 4-5 years as a therapist I became very interested in studying the area of preventative medicine. I wanted to help people help themselves in preventing illness.

Thus I began a 7 year journey in Holistic Medicine and Alternative Health Care. One of the areas I studied in depth was guided imagery and relaxation. I studied all I could find in this area and became trained in several different methods to relax and quiet the mind.

What struck me most from all my studies and professional experiences was the power of the mind-precisely our thoughts-in creating our sense of health and well being. After learning how powerful our thoughts are in terms of creating our reality, I was inspired to create a product that could reach many people of all ages in helping them
adapt more powerful, healthy thought patterns.

I began putting my voice on tape and allowed my creativity to flow. I started making guided imagery tapes for my friends, my neighbors, my family and even the dog. Everyone loved them, and I loved making them.

You know you are doing what you came here to do when your work is effortless. Making relaxation tapes
was and still is effortless for me.

I
began a career in the medical field as an Occupational Therapist. How I selected this as my profession

We all long for inner peace...for that deep sense of connectedness, a knowing that we are loved and
that we are safe and not alone.

The fears of being alone, unloved and abandoned run deep within all of us. So deep we sometimes
choose not to feel them. By not feeling our fears and not embracing them we close off our JHearts
to our own love...preventing ourselves from feeling the inner peace that we so very much long for.

By embracing our fears, owning them and releasing them we open ourselves up to the absolute joy
and peace of being alive.

It takes courage to free yourself from your fears as well as a willingness to embrace them. The
positive results in your life from releasing your fears are many. As you release your fears you will:

find yourself living life with a greater sense of passion, happiness and increased vibrancy
experience a greater sense of inner balance, creativity and intuition
you will begin to manifest your deepest desires in life

However, the most profound experience you will have as you release your fears is the experience
of your own open heart.

For this is the greatest gift you can give yourself.

As we gently let go of our fears we open ourselves up to the wonderful unconditional
love that flows in our Hearts.
And it is through this connection to ourselves that we never again feel alone, unloved
or abandoned. It is through this connection to ourselves that we feel a profound sense of
eternal inner peace.

Fears often begin very early in our lives...sometimes as early as the day we are born. Experiences
we have as children shape our thoughts and our feelings for the rest of our lives. Therefore,
sometimes when we experience a sense of fear as an adult, we are really feeling the primitive
early feelings we had when we were children. It's often not the actual experience itself that causes
us to sense fear, but the memory of when we felt this same feeling before, much earlier in
our lives.

Daily Affirmation To Help Release Fear

"More and More, I open my Heart and allow all my feelings to flow through me...
as I now envelop myself in a blanket of warm, healing white light shielding me from any harm,
harsh judgements and unkind words...
all that I attract to me now is for my highest good."
