The information I am about to share with you has been passed down for centuries from the ancient healing traditions. Throughout the ages people have longed for a deeper sense of inner peace - an insatiable quest to find the deeper meaning of Life. And more importantly, the answer to the question..."Who am I and Why am I here?"

The answers to these questions and the profound feeling of deep inner peace lies in the quiet space between our thoughts. We have a reservoir of unlimited potential and ability to Manifest. This ability lies deep within each one of us and is embraced in the subconscious mind. Each one of us has this ability. All we need to do is take a step along this path known as journeying inward and allow the conscious mind to relax and begin to communicate with the infinite subconscious mind.

The ancients and sages throughout time have done this through participating in practices of Yoga, Meditation, Hypnosis, Relaxation and Chanting to name a few. All practices which lead one to the infinite possibilities of the subconscious mind... the space between our thoughts.

Today there is an easier path, an advanced technology that can guide us directly into the beneficial states of deep meditation and heightened awareness. It is here that we can harness the powers of the mind-body connection to facilitate long lasting change and manifestation. This advanced technology uses the power of sound and imagery to guide its listeners into a higher state of consciousness where real, long-lasting transformation takes place.

Research has shown that the brain functions in 4 different states of brain wave activity throughout different periods of time in our dailly lives. The following is a brief overview of these 4 brain wave activity states.

1) Beta Brain Wave State:
The beta brain wave activity state is the state we are in during our waking moments when we are working, driving, speaking, talking on the phone, grocery shopping etc. in this brainwave state, our brain is functioning at a faster pace, and we are processing information through the cognitive (linear-analytical) functions of the brain. In the state of peak performance, we are alert, and our thoughts are passing quickly.

2) Alpha Brain Wave State:
The alpha brain wave activity state is the state we are in during relaxation and quiet moments. During the alpha state, the brain wave activity slows down, the mind relaxes, the body unwinds, and we slip into a state of relaxation. It is here where our thoughts slow down until they become so light they begin to float. It is here that we are able to restore, re-energize and empower ourselves and harness the power of the subconscious mind to help create long-lasting change.

The alpha brain wave state is the doorway to creative insight, peak performance, intuition, deep inner healing and enhanced learning. It is here we communicate best with the conscious and subconscious mind bringing them into perfect harmony and balance.

True healing and long lasting change occurs through this doorway.

3) Theta Brain Wave State:
The theta brain wave state is yet a deeper, more relaxed brain wave state. The brain waves have cycled down to a very slow rate (approximately 7-8 cycles per second). This is the state we are in just before we slip into the dream time state of deep sleep.

It is during the alpha and theta brain wave states that we are the most open to what we hear. During these two states, we have direct access and influence into the subconscious mind. When positive suggestions and statements are introduced in these states, powerful transformations begin to occur in our waking moments. We begin to make changes based on the suggestions we have "heard" in the relaxed brain wave states.

Research clearly indicates that the most powerful time to introduce suggestions and invite change to occur is in the alpha and theta brain wave activity states.

The

is the author of the Journeys of the Hearttm tapes. Susan is a Hypnotherapist, a Radiant Heart Therapist and a licensed Occupational Therapist. She brings over 20 years of experience in the traditional medical system and in the areas of mind body integration to her work.

Susan enjoys sharing her life's work with individuals through her private practice and with large groups of people through international workshops and seminars. One of Susan's life long dreams was to lead workshops on the islands of Hawaii. Two years ago Susan's dream came true and she now teaches a dynamic course three times a year on the big island of Hawaii.
